So I'm uploading early and here first because I'm trying something different and something that scares me a little. I guess I want some feedback before I post this anywhere else. I know that say that if you are comfortable then you should do something that makes you uncomfortable. So I guess that's exactly what I did. I'm baring more than my skin skin and it's scary but at the same time it has honestly has helped me deal with so much that has been going on lately. I'm starting to be happy again and I love that feeling.

It would mean a lot to me if you would critique, comment or tell me what you think. Good or bad.

These are from this mornings sunrise shoot with the beautiful Mahalia. It is so good to shoot with someone who shares the same passion and willingness as you, being friends too makes a it a lot of fun. I really love shoots with this girl. She braved the waters (even though there are crocs, jellyfish etc) and looked beautiful doing it. This was a great reason to get up at the crack of dawn.

I am working on more conceptual self portraits, I have the ideas I just don't have the time to shoot them. Soon though hopefully!

I spent last week in Sydney (as most already know) meeting up with a bunch of photographers but I also spent the week with my friend, her cousin and mum. We did a road trip to the Royal National Park and all I can say is, oh my lord. Seriously. It is 5 locations in one. There is beach, there are rocks, grass and meadows. It was truly breath taking and I took so many beautiful photos. My friend Melissa made this headpiece from the nature surrounding us. I really love it when we shoot together, our creativeness overflows! When we found this spot we literally dropped everything and frolicked in the field. (Think Sound of Music) On the way back to the car, Sara (in the photo) and I spotted Matt Corby and may have stalked him a little. The day itself was amazing, it was full of good company, good coffee, good food and great weather. It was a perfect way to spend Anzac Day.

So this week I got a new love, Abbey! I must say once you try full frame it is so hard to go back to anything else! This is partly why I bought the 5D and I am in love with her! I don't have much to say this week except that I am genuinely happy with life, I am so excited for Sydney and all the adventures it will bring, meeting new friends, seeing some of my work shown for the first time, shooting new models and of course seeing a dear friend!! I am also in love with my new hat a friend of mine got for me. I must say when you have someone in your life who randomly gives you something you've been wanting for a while, just because they can and want to, they're a keeper.

So this is a few days late mainly because on Saturday I shot my first wedding! It was long, challenging but a great experience in the end. To have various individuals come up to me at the end of a long day and tell me how much they appreciated everything I did really made my day/night! I ordered the 85mm 1.2L lens for the wedding but unfortunately it didn't make it in time and only arrived yesterday! Not wanting to send it back without using it, I stole my neighbours child for a few minutes and snapped a few shots of her. She is the most precious, joyous child to be around. Just her laugh is enough to lift any mood and I am so thankful to be living next door to her and her family again!

This is a really personal photo for me. I'm not going to go into detail but it's almost a year since one of the most significant nights of my life, the moment that pushed me back into photography. While at the time I couldn't understand it, I'm beginning to look more at the positives that have come from it.

One piece of advice, if you don't like something about yourself or you life, change it. Change it now. Life is too short. That night made me realise that.

This photo was originally just an excuse to play in the rain but while editing I was inspired by James Arthur's song "Impossible" and it brought up an array of emotions I've been dealing with as of late.

This week has been one of overcoming whatever life throws at you and trust me I'm covered in life right now but as I sit here and type these words I can't help but have hope that the worst is over and that the good times are just around the corner.

I hope you are all having a fantastic week, enjoy the little things, see the beauty in everything and everyone and try to be happy. It may seem hard when you are drowning in life but after the rain there is always a rainbow.

Life is hard. Emotions are like a rollercoaster. So many times I've wanted to cry but there hasn't been a right moment. I brush away the tears that fall and force the pain inside, lock it away for another day. It's getting harder to feel these days, I'm so shut off from people, emotions and just feeling. Sometimes I think it's easier this way and other times I'm not so sure. I just don't know what to do. I don't know what to say. I don't know who to turn to anymore. So for now I'll push you away like I do every other time and cry under the water so you don't hear the sound.
