Yours truly playing Shihanmato in the historical preservation area of Obi Castle, Miyazaki prefecture, Japan.

Shihanmato is a form of Japanese archery - the word means "four and a half"

The distance to the target is 4.5 ken, the arc 4.5 shaku and the target size 4.5 sun. The bow is made from bamboo and the arrow very long and flexible.

This photo was taken by the guy running the exhibit - he didn't seem at all surprised at the two cameras and needed no instructions on how to take a stereo picture - which was good as I don't have any Japanese and the guy didn't speak English.

Charles Jencks' Garden of Cosmic Speculation at Portrack House, near Dumfries in South West Scotland.

This is cross-view stereopair. To view this image in 3D you need to cross your eyes until you see three fuzzy images. Then try and focus the middle image. This takes a lot of patience to get right, but once you've done it once it gets easier.
