&lt;p&gt;Yours truly playing Shihanmato in the historical preservation area of Obi Castle, Miyazaki prefecture, Japan.&lt;br /&gt;

The distance to the target is 4.5 ken, the arc 4.5 shaku and the target size 4.5 sun.  The bow is made from bamboo and the arrow very long and flexible.&lt;br /&gt;

This photo was taken by the guy running the exhibit - he didn't seem at all surprised at the two cameras and needed no instructions on how to take a stereo picture - which was good as I don't have any Japanese and the guy didn't speak English.&lt;br /&gt;
