Driving up towards the cold, in late autumn, I passed this still river and reflected forest and couldn't resist stopping to capture the shot. The night's dew was burning off - hence the low mist, and the rising sun above the valley to the east was lighting some of the treetops. I was totally blown away to find this particular copse of gnarled old boys, especially with the mist in the distance being lit by the sun. This is taken looking uphill, so whilst the sun appears to be only just above the horizon, it's actually several hours into the day.
