One mother lizard delivered them. She looks skinny and 'empty' now, you can imagine!

Oh, no - they are not on the plate to be eaten, - just for photographing! :)) Of course they tried to escape. Do not worry, they were released in a few days.

(Blue-tongued skinks is the Australasian genus Tiliqua )

The tree from South America (Venezuela and Ecuador),
semi-deciduous, - it means it could drop leaves at some conditions - dry or cold, but not all leaves; apparently could be deciduous in colder climate.

Gorgeous tree native to Sakhalin and Japan and south Korea.
deciduous tree growing to 20 m, with light grey bark.
Great as a street tree.
Common names: Орех Зибольда, Орех айлантолистный, Japanese Walnut
Close relative to walnut Juglans regia, and as any of Juglans genus, it has an edible nuts.

Syn. Juglans sachalinensis, Juglans sieboldiana
Apparently the original spell (1878) is Juglans ailantifolia

Not my photos.
I never was lucky so far to see this stunning wild flowering pink featherflower.
I thank my friend Lucy Long from Western Australia for her courtesy giving me these 2 photos.
The pink flowers are Verticordia monadelpha. - the most common and conspicuous Verticordia in Kalbarri National park, where the photos were taken.
The yellow flowering bush is Banksia sp.

Scribbly gum

Eucalyptus racemosa
The smooth bark is ornamented with 'scribbles' made by burrowing insect larvae. Seasonally the tree getting rid of them by shredding the bark revealing the new clean bark, but insects will come back of cource... it is circle... clever Nature :)

Breynia oblongifolia - 'Coffee Bush'

Australian native evergreen shrub to 3-4 m high. It occurs, apparently, in most types of rainforest as well as in dry eucalypt forest.
I was quite impressed with tidiness and symmetry of this shrub I found in the local bush.

I think there are tiny flowers we can see here, if you look larger size.
Fruit is a red berry turning black (shot below). Not edible!

Fraser Avenue was officially named in 1931 in honour of Sir Malcolm Fraser, Surveyor General of Western Australia 1870-1883.
Originally the red-flowering gums (Corymbia ficifolia) was planted along Fraser Avenue to honour Queen Victoria's Jubilee in 1898.
But in 1938 they were replaced by these lemon-scented gums (Corymbia citriodora syn. Eucalyptus citriodora) from the east coast of Australia. During the 1970s the lemon-scented gums flourished. Today, the interlocking canopies form a majestic avenue that provide a well-photographed entry statement to Kings Park and Botanic Garden.

Really amazing that eastern gum trees survive better there than local red-flowering gums. Go figure...
