This "cat" is getting wild in my garden.
Quick spreading ground cover bearing numerous 'kitten tail' flowers almost all year.
it does best in summer, especially after rain. During dry spells it becomes semi dormant but is difficult to kill through neglect.

Family: Liliaceae subfamily: Medeoloideae. Also placed in: Convallariaceae Uvulariaceae Perennial herbaceous plant.
Native to Asia-temperate:
Russian Far East (Amur, Khabarovsk, Kurile Islands, Primorye, Sakhalin), Chana, Japan, Korea,
and also to Himalayas.
It grows in full shade (deep woodland) or semi-shade (light woodland) and prefers moist soil.

It is actually native to alpine regions of central and southern Europe, but naturalized in many countries, including my Sakhalin, also America and even Australia (NSW, Tasmania).It is even declared as noxious weed in N. America, while it is protected in some native regions in Europe!

Agapanthus africanus (African lily) is a native of the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa.
Very popular in (sub)tropics cultivation. - No wonder! - it is tough and beautiful.

The flowering tree attracts your sight by the dark red flowers in spring.
It attracts a lot parrots as well - by sweet nectar.

Anigozanthos is unique Australian plant with very apt common name.
This one cultivar "Golden Kangaroo Paw".
Location: Roma Street Parkland, Brisbane.

It is NOT a crop of the photo below. It has different DOF.
I am not a fan of the extreme shallow DOF so loved by many people in flickr....

Australian rainforest tree. The tree is monoecious (Однодомный)
The flowers are tiny and inconspicuous ( неприметные),
However they produce an attractive seeds, and it is very nice evergreen street tree.

Diploglottis campbellii
Family : Sapindaceae
Australian rainforest tree from northern New South Wales and southeastern Queensland.
Growing to 30 metres tall, it is commonly known as the Small-leaved Tamarind ,
referring to Diploglottis australis - 'Native Tamarind', but they are not related to the true Tamarind Tamarindus indica at all!
However, like Tamarind, it has an edible sour fruit, and stone inside.
And, actually, "Large-fruited Tamarind" would be more appropriate name for it than "Small-leaved Tamarind".
I really like the taste and it deserves to be more popular in cultivation in Australia.
