"We speak and you hear us, for this you were chosen;
"We speak, not in chorus; our words are ambrosian.
"We cry, yell, and squander, our lives all a-broil;
"We kick, scratch, and fight through such wretched turmoil.

"You put us through hell, for this is your task,
"And as you write through,... please... take off the masque.
"For we must speak freely, we shall not be censored;
"Please, grant us our freedom, or you shall be censured."

This poem is incomplete. I've struggled too much with the lines that follow, and when struggle ensues, it's better to let go 'cause it ain't gonna flow.

What are these voices that float through my head
Like soured plum visions in a dead Christmas bed?
They call from afar through a veil dark in hue,
As if trapped in a jar. —Can you hear them, too?

They call out and whisper, each speaking my name,
Revealing their lines, saying, "No! Not a game!
"What we say isn't fancy; nor is it yours alone;
"Our words you must share them, you must share bone to bone."

I'm not satisfied with the second line.

A new photo, created just yesterday, when I was larkin' about with my camera and flash. Actually, I wasn't so much larkin' about as I was taking "before" photos since I'm about to embark upon a journey to resize meself. I'll post the "before" photos once I've reach my "after" goal. :P My plan is to take photos of myself once every 30 days so that I have visual evidence of my progress.

Shoveled off the first 5 or 6 feet of the driveway, then stopped. My back was hurtin'. Here, my mum (who is retired) is holding a tape measure. It shows 22 inches (55,9 cms) of snow on the driveway. Per the Weather Channel, we have received 28 inches (71,1 cms) so far here in Columbia, and it is still snowing. (Of course, this means that we shoveled 6 inches (15,25 cms) off the driveway last night.) Ain't nobody nowhere going anywhere any time soon.
