This was my 5th circus workshop attendance which finished kinda short due to a nasty palm blister :(. I didn't even get to try the silks and I was looking forward to it. Luckily my husband captured this pose in time for me to add it to my progress collection. This pose is one of my favorites and I'm hoping to grab my leg with both hands next time I go. Better work on them splits 'til then! huh :)

Myself performing a butterfly pose on silks. This is my 3rd time attending the Circus School of Arizona and happy to have memorized a full beginner sequence :) Thx to my friend, Kristy, for introducing me to this new activity. I love it! :D Being hung up there is such an amazing feeling and stretch! Even my handstands have been improving after all the aerial training! I wish i could install some in my own apartment. Oh well, maybe someday :P
This photo was taken last Sunday, using my tripod and Kristy's help.

Snow Storm Ahead

The misty anniversary hike on Mount Lemmon brought back memories from the 2007 August snow storm hike on Transfagarasan Road, in Romania, a trip that my husband and I took right before our marriage day :). Both Hitchcock Highway and Transfagarasan are winding roads that lead through dramatic mountain landscapes, but only the second we hiked entirely (had no car back then :P ).
This photo marks the beginning of the snow storm. It started as a drizzling day near Balea Waterfall, where we climbed a water stream that seemed to be a shortcut to the road. It probably was better weather conditions and it saved us from 10 km of walking but, by the time we reached the top, we were soaked to the bone, only to discover the snow above, lol. Next hotel wasn't too close by, either...yikes!

Perfect subject to encounter on my anniversary day: a ladybug orgy? O.o They are clustered on a Common Mullein plant to keep each other warm during cold days and I guess the heat got out of control../:) I shot a few photos carefully and as I turned around to leave, I accidentally hit the plant stem with my monopode and knocked all the lady bugs off... OOPS!!! LOL! My bad!...Tho a pic of them fleeing would have been interesting,but my husband did not agree with my suggestion of disturbing them on purpose lol. Oh well, this will have to do :P
