I am not sure what 'that moment' was, but he did look like he was poised to raise his camera and click. Maybe he was watching the woman throwing half a supermarket into the lovely clear marina, or maybe it was something completely different. Either way, I hope he got the picture he wanted. I know I did.

103rd day of 2012. This evening I dropped Herbie off at the 'hospital' so that the new engine can be checked over and altered now that it has completed its running in period. While I was there I was having a nose around the workshop mainly at this van which recently featured as one of the show vans at this years Volksworld show. This van is just totally amazing inside and out. There are so many little things inside that just make you go wow! The attention to detail is just amazing. One day, when I am rich enough to afford to buy one, this is where it will come, and this will be along the lines of the end result that I am looking for! But before that can happen, I think Herbie deserves another go at a restoration, this time done by Steve and his team here!
Couldn't you just fall in love with this van?

355th day of 2012. We have had a lot of rain recently, and this is what happens. The river has risen to the point that it has overflowed in many places. Fields are flooded and this, a wheelchair friendly fishing platform, is currently sitting beneath the water too.

281st day of 2012. There is nothing quite like making sure you have every gap covered maximising the potential for reward.
I always find spider webs interesting to look at, the intricacy and how different each one is, especially when they are damp with the morning mist still hanging around.

227th day of 2012. My little bristlenose plecs are getting the bristles on their noses now. Some faster and bigger than others. They have grown a lot since I got them as tiny little babies too.
They are now about 3 1/2 - 4 inches long.

180th day of 2012. As you know by now I like reflections, and I have always had a fascination with mirrors that face other mirrors.
When I was younger I used to try and count how many reflections I could see in the mirrors when they faced each other and also was amazed with how far they seemed to go into the wall.
The mirror that you can see my face in is the mirror I took the picture of to get the reflection of the mirror on the wall with my arm and then the reflection of my face.
Is anyone else getting confused?

143rd day of 365. This used to be a dirt path that lead under this bridge, and it used to flood, a lot. Then they decided to make it a proper path, and they raised it. If you are any taller than about 5'9 ish you probably wouldn't be able to stand up straight under here now. Thankfully, I am short at 5'5 so I don't have any problems. It did take a bit of getting used to though.

122nd day of 2012. 1/3rd of the year is now complete.
These are two of my newest additions to my tank. Silver sharks or Bala sharks. They are very small at the moment but can grow to quite a size. Funny thing... while I was buying these, I spoke to the person about an Oscar (fish) that was in the tank with these. He told me it was not wise to get this fish with the ones I already had (which I already knew) as it grows very large! Now, may I just say that I just purchased 4 silver sharks and they grow to the same size as this Oscar I was looking at, but I was not warned about those! I really hate some of the people in fish shops, they really need a good slap and some education! Rant over.

85th day of 2012. This busy weekend is now over, and I am very tired, so up to bed I go. Feeling a little bit down this evening as my brother placed a small bet on a football match score line and I was going to join him, but decided that, in my situation, I should probably play safe and save my £1. Well he won, and had I not have played it safe, I would now be £100 better off. Lesson learned, again! Always go with your gut feeling!

60th day of 2012. Two months complete! Somehow. Realised again rather late that I hadn't taken a picture. So here is my garden at about 10pm. For some reason things seem to be really busy at the moment.
Went and saw my Grandma today which was really nice for me, and even nicer for her as she had convinced herself that once I had left for Borneo she would never get the chance to see me again. We had a very nice long chat.
Sarah is back to work tomorrow. That came around fast!

30th day of 2012. Things seem to be getting rather hectic around here at the moment and I am finding less time and less things to take pictures of. Roll on moving day!
This is my second attempt at a HDR shot. Not really much to look at, and to be honest, it does not look very HDR like to me. I combined 4 different exposures for this, -3, -1, +1, +3, and a tiny bit of post combining editing as the colour was a bit off.
This is the result.
Any comments or advice are very much welcome.
I promise not to post too many more boring images like this.
And I am not going over to full time HDR photography. Just trying things out. :)

23rd day of 2012. Some how I have managed to wake up with a cold this morning, I have absolutely no idea how. We decided to take the dogs down to the river for a short bit this afternoon as this is Fry's all time favourite place. Unfortunatly, this is the best I could come up with. It seems like what ever I tried to do today failed!
It took some editing before I was happy enough to post it. But tomorrow is another day and hopefully this cold will have cleared off and I can maybe concentrate a bit more! :)

11th day of 2012. After having a very short play around with my new camera (Sony Cyber-shot) I have decided that it is very, very poor. So I will not be taking it to Hong Kong tomorrow and will continue to borrow my wife's Lumix. I'm just glad I didn't have to pay for it.

This is our house, I designed it in may 2009. It was built while we were in England and finished by December the same year. We moved in in May 2010 an will be leaving (and selling) in February 2012. It's just a shame I can't take it back to England with me.

Off to Hong Kong tomorrow, so will not be uploading for about a week I am afraid, but I will try to keep up with everyone's photostream as much as I can. :)
