Because of the shape of this water drop, the refracted bleeding hearts at the top are stretched, but the bleeding hearts and ferns in the bottom of the drop are in proportion. check it out large.

This is similar to one I posted earler - but with a shift in the angle to get a different green/purple - purple/green contrast between drops, refractions and background bokeh. I love how you can see waterdrops on the petals of the flower seen in the waterdrops.

The multiple drops and multiple sizes of drops caught my attention as I was cleaning up files, so I rescued this summer shot from the ol' storage folder. Its kind of interesting to see how many places you can find refractions when viewed large.

Is that a *snow disk* in those water drops? You betcha! What won’t a guy do in the name of art? It seemed like the next evolution in the series of water drop photos was to go beyond just documenting nature, and see what kind of still life art could be created within the drop motif. But rule of thirds, perspective, contrast, etc., applied to water drops and a snow disk? Why not? Actually, my friend Greg originally borrowed my snow disk, which seemed a bit odd at the time, as there wasn’t a single flake of snow on the ground. But over the course of the year he has transformed that simple object into an amazing photo-prop. I just tried to make a worthy contribution to his series. The "hearts" inside these water drops are refractions of some coral bells. You can also see the chimney of my fireplace and a number of other plants in the garden, Thanks to several folks for crop suggestions to an earlier photo

One of many, many gorgeous lakes in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area/Quetico Provincial Park along the US/Canada border that is designated no-motor wilderness. What a place to canoe! As a side - this shot may be my best use of a polarizing filter ever! ;>
