A friend took this one of me many many moons ago !
In the days of "Film" photography when I had 2 Konicas Autoreflex T. One body loaded with "Slide" film and the other in black and white (I had my own darkroom) so I would process and print them .
Here I was switching lens, one was my 105 mm (great for portraits) and the other my 200 mm Hexanon small tele ( still considered one of the top 10 best lenses ever built ! ) .
To reproduce digitaly this slide ( I don't have a scanner ) I put some extension tubes on my digital camera + my 17-85 mm zoom lens and shot It .
However slide film does deteriorate, the emulsion tends to develop some small black pigments (microscopics mushrooms) that looks like grain/noise , so if you have some good ones, you should archive them asap !
Yep and I had lots of hairs then :-)

My grand parents' house in the country where as a child I would spend my summer holidays... Wonderful memories like catching fireflies and putting them in a jar and using as a lantern under the bedsheets. I would look at the stars in the night from the window while I could hear the train passing at a distance through the village. When a car would come on the road , the headlights would flash on the bedroom walls and as it would approach the noise would be louder and the light would travel around the room then the sound would die to silence. In the morning, our sheepdog "noireau" (blacky) would climb the stairs, jump on the bed and drag the covers off to get us up while downstairs my granny was already busy with her daily chores . There was always a smell of homemade meals in the kitchen. Her patience to pick up wild (and huge) bleuberries in a pale ( used to milk the cows ) was amazing. She then would make those fantastic cakes ! She would hide apples in the hay, with the sunrays going between the barn wood planks it would get warm and they would ripe faster. Nothing would beat harvest time when we would sit on the top of the wagon overflowing with fresh hay, what a view it was like sitting on the top of the world LOL ! At Christmas and New Year's day, we would hope that the snowplow would pass on time to open the road because their was always lots and lots of snow in winter ! All the relatives would drive distance to share in the festivities. Uncle and aunts all nicely dressed would kneel on the kitchen floor in front of my grandfather as he would give his "bénédiction paternel" ( father's blessing ) . We kids had our own table to eat with our cousins. There would be music and dancing late in the evening with traditional and modern music (Elvis and Buddy Holly to chansons à répondre québecoises ). I could go on but feel sorry for kids that are growing only in the city . I myself now live in a rural area and love it . I guess the saying still stand : " You can get people out of the country but you cannot take the country out of peoples " . Anyway my uncle who now owns the house, changed the windows to more "modern" aluminium ones, the good thing is they now close and open easely. LOL !

Talking with some "younger artist " when there is a grainy looking images , they call it "Old school look "., which they love to the point that they want me to teach them darkroom work. They also had no clues who was Ansel Adams ... :-)
