I took the advice from a photography book and spent as much time as possible trying to improve this shot and I think it ended up being the best one on the roll. I do wish I spent more time composing for the edges though. I am really happy with the way this film preformed, I expected it to be horrible. The cut off word is "Schwinn."

Generic CVS 200speed exposed in a Nikon n6006 by a 28-85mm ƒ3.5-4.5 lens closer to the 85mm side.

Shots taken on Ilford Pan-F 50 (fine grain medium-low contrast, black and white) coming soon.

I'm back from life-hiatus I guess.
Dont know why I chose today as I'm going to ashland oregon tomorrow. Taking 4 rolls of film with me, 3 crappy ones and a pretty nice one, maybe I can get some great film there. I've started a roll of Ilford Pan-F 50 black and white as well. I love using fancy film it makes me think about each exposure.

This is from a crappy CVS brand 200 speed in a Nikon 6006. I tried to compose for the lines.

I've gone to Friday's twice and I've gotten food poisoning both times.
A fun little project to test out new features in CS5. The shape builder is the best thing to ever happen. The font wasn't free so I made some letters with a similar free font. The O was made out of two D's, the P out of an R and the G out of an O. I think I messed up the kerning.

Made for humanities class, everything but pen and paper idea sketching was done over a weekend.

I'm quite proud of it even though I know there are a bunch of ways it could be better. I could have simplified the color palette and thought out more alternate compositions.

I'd really like critique if you have the time.

An graphic I designed in illustrator to explain the makeup of Butyric acid(pronounced like f[uture] and ick) for an open house sort of thing at my school.
I made this rather recently, so any critique would be really appreciated, don't worry about being harsh.

I took these pictures in 2nd(3rd?) grade for a opt in project. My mom just told me to make it look how I thought was beautiful. They were edited in photoshop 7 before being printed on photo paper. The frame sits in the master bedroom at the end of the hall. Taken with an old canon compact elf I believe.

I tried to loose all sense of up, down and scale in this one. I like the composition but I might be confusing tight and cramped for uncomfortable and dizzying. On this one I am especially looking for critique but all comments are always welcome.

The sun had just come out and I wanted to capture the beautiful light. I did not want to have anything too prominent as the subject so I tried to create balance with the rocks and the legs.

The final linoleum block print, pressed on blue paper I made earlier in the week. The red was done while the paper was damp so it bled and looked more like a fill, the black was done while the paper was dry to preserve detail. The colors are so much prettier in person.

I'm pretty proud of it and all the imperfections it has, maybe just cause I've never made one before.

Shot with generic CVS 200speed film ran though a Nikon 6006. I wish I had more time to compose the picture, I only really had time to think a few things like "I don't want any sky, just clouds. The colors turned out way more interesting than I could have expected, I love the color of the clouds.

These cacti were really neat, but I couldn't get a good picture of them, I don't like this picture at all but I thought I should include it as I turned it into a linoleum block print.

There was a giant cactus, maybe 30 feet tall and 15 feet wide with all these twisting branches, this was the best one I got of it.
I only got poked with spines 3 times when photographing it.

Prehensile Necks

These two flamingos were playing/fighting, their necks can move in so many ways, it's insane.
The picture is pretty bland though.
