You know me - always looking for a new way to get "there". I thought travelling around on abandoned railroad tracks with my newly modified truck would be a fun way to go.

Apparently these tracks are not abandoned.

Best when viewed small.

Not really looking for critiques on this one - was tired, and it was late. There are a lot of things wrong with it. Thanks.

Millender Center in motion

I took this by pressing my camera up against the window at the front of the Detroit People Mover (an above ground train), as we entered the Millender Center station. I had tried this before, but finally got the focus on the distant building.

Those are the actual garish colors at this stop. I made no adjustments to this photo other than to rename it.

Port Huron Rail

The Thomas Edison Depot Museum is located under the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron, MI. Last night's streaky sunset reflected nicely in the windows of their train car.

I got the idea in my head for this because of this shot taken by my friend Ray last year.

When we got done taking our pictures, we found a decent restaurant called Quay Street Brewing Company. Good food and excellent microbrew.

Can't decide on the title...

Took the DC Metro out of the city following the fireworks on the 4th. All the hands holding on to the overhead bars looked to make an interesting shot, so I pressed the camera up against the ceiling and shot back into the car.

Faint double rainbow leading to the MCS

By the time I reached this vantage point for the rainbows at MCS, they had faded back to small arcs. Seeing the color in the cobble-stone road, I almost wish I had gone to this position when the rainbow was much larger. The rainbow kept going from small to large as we took our pictures. I have yet to see my wife's pictures to see what she got. She was out in front of the station during my shenanigans.

Oh well. Of course, a couple of hours later, there was an extremely bright rainbow, but we were in the city at that point, so the shots were a whole lot different.

I tried to keep the color processing under control, yet still got a bit of halo effect on the tree to the left.

I must have been quite a sight as I ran across the fields near MCS to get the proper perspective with the rainbow and the station.

You can just make out a little of the doubling of the rainbow in the left portion of the picture.
