Took a trip to Portsmouth yesterday morning, after being inspired to visit this wonderful old wreck by Trevor Cotton - One of the most challenging locations I've visited, in terms of simply getting to the wreck and how limited you are composition wise....

A post really to promote the forthcoming 'Art of Long Exposure' Exhibition @ The PhotoHausGallery in Vancouver. Which opens this Saturday 1st June and is curated by Sharon Tenenbaum, Grant Murray and Marc Koegel

I'm delighted to be part of this event, having had three images accepted to the exhibition, unfortunately as I'm in the UK I can't be there in person, but just to take part in something that celebrates Long Exposure Photography is enough for me...

Its been a while since my last post, hope you are all well?

Apologies for returning with such a well photographed subject, this was the first time I've managed to visit this location, where everything came together, tide, light, weather and more importantly that bloody divers pontoon not being in the way :)

This exposure was made using the new Hitech IRND Filters, kindly loaned to me by my local camera shop (Thanks John) Really nice filters, would definitely be my first choice should i ever need to replace my B+W's

Will do my best to visit your streams in the next few days. Thanks for looking...

These sculptures by Antony Gormley are on Crosby beach. Another Place consists of 100 cast-iron, life-size figures spread out along three kilometres of the foreshore, stretching almost one kilometre out to sea.

The Another Place figures - each one weighing 650 kilos - are made from casts of the artist's own body standing on the beach, all of them looking out to sea, staring at the horizon in silent expectation.

Edit: Just started a Facebook page. Not much on it at the moment, but you've gotta start somewhere. : )

Had to do a bit of trespassing to get this shot. Was warned by friends that have tried to fish this private section of coast, that if security catch you, they will always call the Police.... Its such a great pier/jetty i felt it was worth the risk!

Haven't been particularly active on flickr lately (apologies to my contacts)... for the last few weeks I've been busy preparing a selection of my work for a exhibition of local artists that will be held at the beginning of February. Its a few months away yet, but hopefully its a step in the right direction and worth all the stress...

As for the above image - My first attempt at a pano 3 x shots stitched in CS6

Shout out to Andy and Keith! After seeing their shots from this location completely inspired me to make the long journey to get this....
