Nowadays the walls of the fortress, even though in ruins, continue to be impressive. The castle of Methoni occupies the whole area of the cape and the southwestern coast to the small islet that has also been fortified with an octagonal tower and is protected by the sea on its three sides. Its north part, the one that looks to land, is covered by a heavily fortified acropolis. A deep moat separates the castle from the land and communication was achieved by a wooden bridge. The Venetians built on the ancient battlements and added on and repaired it during both periods that they occupied the castle.

Men who as children witnessed their parents’ domestic violence were twice as likely to abuse their own wives than sons of nonviolent parents.

Everyday in the US, more than three women are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends.

My xmas wish for this year, two is better than one, love with two hearts live with two hearts, lucky is the one that has just another to call friend, partner or whatever else. Lucky is the one that has found another one to have and to hold. This is my wish for everyone I know and for the people i don't know, to find another one to call their own. Have a happy 2012 <3

I am not very fond of people who claim that buskers have it easy in life. If it is so, then why no one wants to be a busker as they grow up? People like this man are the ones I used to pity and now I admire. Cause they experience an angle of life most of us don't. I am not sure if happiness is just a wonderful career with lots of money. At least for some people will never work that way.

I took this one near xmas, as I was enjoying a short walk by the sea. This particular season you're supposed to feel nostalgia for the people that are not longer with you, what tops it for me is when I see grandfathers with grandchildren cause every now and then I miss my grandfather so much that I can't breathe. This picture saved my mood at that time.
