Another 2-image exposure blend processed in CS5, I got up early this morning (13/10/12) for sunrise but annoyingly it was non-existant. But in any case, I still got this spooky looking shot of the orchards. I will be returning again soon, perhaps in the evening to catch some warm evening light on the tree's.

I took a trip to Kings Cross station yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it, I will hopefully be returning again soon, there are so many different compositions to be had here.
I don't do many panoramas but i decided to give one a go at Kings Cross, I am really happy with the result, this is now a personal favourite of mine, I find with most panoramas you get a 'bendy' look, in this case I think it works quite well.

In other news I decided it was time to change my watermark, let me know what you think. :)

A daytime image of St Pauls Cathedral as viewed from the top floor of 'One New Change' - one of the best and only publicly accesible roof tops of London - not a bad view either considering it is free. I look forward to a sunset up here soon.

Image of a floor in the Lloyd's Building in London as the first morning rays shine in, taken during 'Open House London 2012' - a very fascinating building with very interesting architecture and floor plans. The lower floors are much more cramped than the upper floors, this is about the 3rd or 4th floor I think.

This is the spiral staircase of Londons City Hall.
Went up to London this weekend, as it was 'Open House London' 2012 many of the buildings in London not usually open to the public were open to the public, I visited City Hall, Custom House, Trinity House and the Lloyd's Building. Pictures from the others to come soon! :)

Another HDR image of St Pauls Cathedral, I've never really thought of shooting this landmark before and I don't know why, it's pretty amazing! Decided to give the colours a little boost in this one to give the image a little more 'pop'! :)

Really starting to enjoy HDR a lot more now I have improved my editing techniques and sorted out a solid workflow! I waited until there were minimal people until I got this shot, every time I started someone would walk straight infront of me (IDIOTS), anyway, eventually got this one and it came out fine. Would like to revisit this location later in the evening and at night.

A storm cloud develops over the Houses of Parliament in London on a hot summers day. The sun is situated right behind the clouds and has produced a few rays.
Shot this a couple months back and for some reason didn't manage to upload it! Starting to like HDR more and more, I try to keep the edits 'realistic' but there are some exceptions.

A large storm cloud moves in over London on a hot summers day, as viewed from Tower Bridge. On seeing the incoming rain I managed to get a few snaps before making my way to the DLR to shelter from the rather large storm cloud. This is an exposure blend, I used this technique because the sun was behind the cloud above the shard and was rather bright in contrast with the foreground.

Evening light shines on the Docklands skyline, this image portrays the warmth of the evening light on a hot summers day. The birds are real and haven't been added in photoshop, it was just luck that a group of seagulls flew by about this time!

Another image of Trevone, Cornwall. This shot was taken at low tide on the rocky outcrops of Trevone, the beach (seen in my previous image of Trevone) is a couple mins walk around the headland seen in the distance here. One thing I loved about the waters of Cornwall was that there was so many shades of blue!

So If you have been wondering why I've been away for a few days it's because I took a cheeky trip to the Cornish Coast for a little rest and relaxation, and to celebrate getting into University, Geology here I come! It was an enjoyable week and we were blessed with some really good weather!

A different approach to a shallow depth of field shot, using the 10-20 here to obtain it. Never really thought of it before! I haven't added any effects, the flare just caused the warm light across the image.

An image taken outside the Lloyd's Building during the first day of Open House London 2012, it was a fantastic event and I can't wait to go again next year. Got there nice and early to miss the queues, the wait was upwards of an hour later in the day.
I know there is a serious amount of 'vertical distortion' which I do sometimes hate, however in this case I feel it adds to the image creating a 'towering over you' effect.

Constructive criticism would be well appreciated for this shot!

The sun sets over London behind the well known Docklands skyline, probably the best sunset I've witnessed in London for a while now, I always find sunsets in the Autumn/Winter are better than those in the summer, lots of cloudage on the horizon here!

After loading Magic Lantern v2.3 to my camera a few weeks back I am loving many of it's built in features, i'd strongly recommend it to anyone with a compatible camera.
Really enjoying HDR now, can't wait to revisit some places specifically to get a HDR! I've been trying out some different compositions at this location and decided this one didn't look to shabby! The small bridge connects all the different parts of the estate together.
