Brighton without Colour

Let's face it that title doesn't really make sense. When you think of Brighton you can't think of anything but a city full of colour, however I love this monochrome picture of this well known British Landmark. The black makes the historic pier completely pop, however as most people know at night, with it's bright and colourful illuminations there is no missing it!

Edinburgh Castle is a browny colour anyway but with the added setting sun and surrounding autumn colours it truly becomes the Red Castle.

I normally think of the Eiffel Tower as somewhere joyful. It is a place full of love where romanctic marriage proposals take place everyday, and tourists young and old ascend to take in the beautiful views which surround it, and at night when it is illuminated particularly when it is sparkling it becomes a beautiful golden beacon. However this day during a rather wet trip I snapped it while on a river boat. With a grey tone and rain this iconic landmark takes on a far more miserable stance.

The wooden tower at Samphire Hoe (owned & constucted by Euro Tunnel) which looks out over The English Channel between Dover & Folkestone.

Hidden down through a steep tunnel carved through the White Cliffs of Dover, is Samphire Hoe. A fantastic country park located by the English Channel with fab views and walks. The park is owned by Euro Tunnel and was constructed from the channel tunnel spoil. More info can be found at www.samphirehoe.com/uk/home/

This is the village shop in Braithwaite and it seemed to have everything in it. All the little items you'd need plus a small takeaway bar where a man had just bought a yummy bacon butty, making us both very hungry! (It was just before our tea)

You can take so much from this scene. The modern Shard which is being built in the background, the traditional market scene, the train passing over the road, the pretty flowers and the white van. No mistaking this for any other place than London.
