Sorry everybody for my extended absence from Flickr, too much going on.

You may remember a while back I posted a month long series of photos taken on a Kodak Retinette camera from 1954, which can be found here.

I have run another film through the camera and this is the first image I've shared from this roll. Being slow at using up the film, these images are spread over about six months from last summer. I'm not going to run these as a series as such, but you'll probably see quite a few of them appearing in my stream in the near future.

All photos from this camera will be SOOC.

This shot was taken shortly before Christmas when myself and Andrew Allan did a photoshoot for a musical duet Simple Sounds.

I spotted this couple having some wedding photos shot on the pier of Ålesund harbour, Norway. Luckily I had my long zoom lens on my camera as I was on the other side of the harbour, so I could snap a couple of shots of them. The official photos looked like they would be great.

Just after this shot, the fast passenger ferry shot past, as you can see in the comments.

This is Bryggen, a World Heritage site in Bergen, Norway. This is the oldest part of the town and is made up of a winding labyrinth of closely packed wooden buildings. Much of it has been destroyed by fire over the centuries, yet what remains is carefully preserved, helping make Bergen one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

I'm currently working in Norway for a few months, so this will be the first shot of many from here no doubt.

Yoho National Park, Canada.

Were this a sunny day, the colour of this lake would be even more impressive. It gets its colour from "rock flour" - suspended particles of rock from glacial erosion - which scatter the sunlight.

This is one of forty eight bears we saw on our fortnight's holiday in the Canadian Rockies! That has to be some sort of record. Five of them were grizzlies and the rest were black bears.

This was one of the more photogenic bears we saw, beside the highway in the Kootenay National Park.

Do not cross barriers!

One of the many cones warning tourists not to walk on the Athabasca Glacier. There were signs everywhere describing the many dangers present on the glacier and that the last three rescue attempts were unsuccessful!

Allow me to introduce you to the hoary marmot (wikipedia) which is the largest ground squirrel in North America. This one was spotted at the top of Sulphur Mountain in Banff, Canada.

For those of you unfamiliar with marmots (as I was), there's a second more general picture in the comments.
