Ax.... Another dreadful 14th of another month... Was thinking of my dad so I cuddled with my mom and she said lets go to Kyrenia! My dad use to drive me to Kyrenia all the time, cause my mom would demand we go :p Its a special place for me. So Kyrenia! It hasn't changed one bit! I have been visiting Kyrenia since I was in diapers. Looking back at photos my parents took, dated since 1990, to the ones taken over the last 9 years and the photos I have taken myself this year, not much has changed. Kyrenia is known for its historic harbor and castle! I believe mostly influenced by the Portuguese settlers (More so with trade - Do correct me if I am wrong). I wont get into the history of it, but I am sure you can read a lot about it on Wikipedia if your interested to learn more. When I look at Kyrenia, I always try to picture the trade going on in the harbor, with sounds of negotiations being yelled out from boat to peer. I am sure it was an interesting place, it still means a lot to many. I have a lot of friends who's families originate from Kyrenia, one of my best friends family is from Kyrenia, and I had a patient who was also from there, over the summer he told me many stories about how it was back then. Its a fascinating place. I played around with this shot cause I wanted to give it a sort of stuck in time feeling, cause really thats what I think its like since the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974, stuck in time. Mind you it has changed a tiny bit, but not so much..
