So there I was at Seven Sisters and Cuckmere Haven yesterday with the wind howling around me and sea spray in the air. It was a revitalising experience - even if walking on shingle for 3 hours has left me with jelly legs today! - and everything seemed perfect until, as I walked back to the car with my 8gb card full, I realised that Carla's iso had been set at 2000 all afternoon............ I'd forgotten to change it after taking this picture at the weekend....

Duh!

Floodlit struggle

I'm still in experimental mode - last night I discovered the cross-processing button in Picnik... In this case I think it emphasises the floodlit struggle of the birds against the elements.

I came across someone new a couple of days ago who has some wonderful and really brilliant work. Please take a look at Altering Sight's great work in this new gallery.

This gull was perched on a Brighton beach hut this Saturday. The tenuous link to the quote is that it's from Jonathan Livingston Seagull; I think this is therefore a case of artistic licence :)

Darumus Ministractus is a rare breed of insect (famous for its long and multiple antennae) that hovers over the River Thames near the Embankment. Here is a fine example of the creature, in conversation with the moon and a small flock of birds.
