in art school they say that you are always drawing the same image, which some take to mean a picture of yourself, either your external appearance, or more likely, your internal composition; in this photo of my most recent sculpture, I achieve both, since both externally and internally I am made up of disparate, delicately, precariously balanced elements, all of whom are built on a love of pizza

these are the boxes that I fold inside out in order to get the recycled carbaord on which I draw, but as I fell behind, eating more than I unfolded, a sculputre formed ..... and leant over ....

digitalis growing by the driveway

I try to paint the digitalis foxgloves in my garden every year, I even go to the extent of harvesting the seeds and planting them where they did not grow before, I now have two groups of them, in the front of the house by the overgrown driveway and the back on the overgrown terrace. I love them. They energize and inspire me so. Peace!

I am fortunate to have a house full of plants, if the flowers outside do not inspire me, and I do like this little dracena, though the pot, which is big and black, did come out a little ominously, I know what they say, but I just think of it as grounding ....... those green claws at the base are supposed to be a shadow ..... I am told by the artist who is me .....

Typically the last couple are the best of the season,

I try to paint the digitalis foxgloves in my garden every year, I even go to the extent of harvesting the seeds and planting them where they did not grow before, I now have two groups of them, in the front of the house by the overgrown driveway and the back on the overgrown terrace. I love them. They energize and inspire me so. Peace!
