You are driving me crazy with this new format!!!!!

Here is an article that someone posted on Facebook. IT DOES NOT sound like it is beneficial to us. Sounds like we are getting screwed because they want to change the format.

This phoebe had a piece of nesting material that you can't see from this angle...so I am guessing that is why it just watched the dragonfly. There was actually another one to the left of it, too.

It has been wonderful to watch a pair of Chestnut-backed Chickadees constantly hitting my suet feeders. They finally brought their two babies to the yard for meals.

At my other house, I had a pair of Nuttall's Woodpeckers that brought their babies every year. I cried when I moved from that house because I was leaving those wonderful woodpeckers behind and I just knew the person who moved in wouldn't care.. I rarely get woodpeckers to my suet. This is the second year they have been at my feeders. Maybe this is my new family... I hope.

Updated to say that I saw FOUR babies this morning out with the two adults begging at the suet. Wow, wish my camera was ready!!!

This cute little Lark Sparrow landed on the fence post, just looking at me (see below). I thought "YEAH, he is gonna take off and I will get him either direction if he flies". Well, he just sat there and looked at me. AND sat there. I held my camera up and on him for SIX minutes. Sweat was getting in my eyes, my hands were shaking (my lens is heavy).

Finally, Elliot is walking towards where I am. He knows to stop when I am on something. I told him to PLEASE please walk towards me because I am waiting for him to take off and he was not doing it.

Thank you Elliot. I sooo was not expecting to get this shot!

First time I saw this bird was 5 years ago at Sunol. Every time I go, I always look for it there. No luck AT ALL...until today. Finally saw them in the same place as before and as reported by others in the past. I did see one last year at Sunnyvale Baylands.

I hope some day I can see one in the sun and not obstructed by branches...asking for too much?? HA HA

Yesterday I found a single White-throated Swift flying among all the different swallows at Radio Road. I rarely see swifts so I am always excited to try and get a shot. I hope I can see more this year with better photo ops.

I was so happy to see this bird today! I totally dipped on it last year. Never saw it once!! SO, it was great to see it and get it in flight! Hope for more chances this year!!
