At this terminal, users place a sample of an encased a sea creature onto a disk. The screen displays information and movies. I'm glad we got to see this working, because I can't imagine it will be functioning in a month or two...even if it is running on a Mac.

The Academy of Sciences' new planetarium wasn't open during the preview event. On Sept. 4, attendees of the Spore launch press event (including me) got a sneak preview of some of its capabilities. It's very impressive.
