Spencer, Indiana has some beautiful houses. This is one I took one day while I was in Spencer for work.

They have several blocks of gorgeous houses like this.

House in Jeffersonville, Indiana with an Ohio River View.

There are a lot of gorgeous houses on this road, but I think this one was the most impressive. I love it.

This is one of our beautiful Amish farms in the area. I love the horse in the forground, too.

Behind this empty house they found 90 pit bulls being bred and raised for fighting. The place was raided by the Indiana State Police, Indiana Gaming Commission, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, US Marshall Service, the US Humane Society and the Orange County (Indiana) Sheriff's Department.

They found dogs at two other locations and have arrested one person and have another warrant out for the guy who owns this property. The dogs were neglected and some even had chains and collars embedded in their necks. They were fed once a week and watered by mosquito-infested rainwater that collected in old tires put near them for that reason.

They were tied on a hillside, to trees, spread out over 15 acres of ground. What makes people capable of something like this is beyond me. It's sickening. Those poor dogs are being taken care of medically at this time. They will then be evaluated for rehabilitation for the ones this is possible for. Very sad day in our county.

A barge heading upriver from Leavenworth, Indiana. Got one of the many homes built on the river in this shot as well.

The little patch of land you see on the left is Kentucky, the rest is Indiana.

There is a striking view of a neighborhood and St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana from the top of the hill the cemetery sits on.

Today was rainy and misty all day long, half foggy, just a nasty day all around. I was surprised to find anything to even take pictures of.

An Amish house in the fog on a rainy afternoon. This is the soft-focus version. I love the dream-like quality of soft focus when it works on a shot.

This one I couldn't decide on the soft focus or regular, so I posted both at the advice of one who would not help me choose.

I think this is one of the prettiest houses in Madison, Indiana and that's not an easy task to accomplish!

This is on a back street near where we usually park and I always love looking at it. Had to get a shot today because of that sky.
