The term "ichneumon wasp" is used rather loosely to refer to parasitic wasps in the family Ichneumonidae. There is a genus called "Ichneumon" but it's not easy to distinguish from related genera, so usually if someone says "ichneumon wasp" they are talking about the family as a whole.

The zebra spider, Salticus scenicus, is a common jumping spider. Like other jumping spiders, it does not build a web. It uses its four pairs of large eyes to locate prey and its jumping ability to pounce and capture it. Zebra spiders are often noted for their awareness of humans. Upon noticing someone observing them, they can be seen raising their head, and usually change behavior (hence why salticus scenius, theatrical jumper).

i had this earwig nymph on a glass chopping board in the kitchen. The wife came in and asked what i was photographing when i told her she had an absolute fit (she is not very fond of earwigs) the work top has had every cleaning product known to man used on it and my ears are still ringing.

i watched this poor guy for 20 minutes after which the female just wandered off (i know how he felt)

The spider does not weave a web but is a quick and agile hunter and chases and leaps on any prey that comes into sight piercing it with its fangs. Their diet consists largely of flies and other small insects. They are often active very early in the spring and between the months March to July where they can often be seen in full daylight taking advantage of its vision and scurrying around in the open or on low vegetation hunting for prey and warming themselves in the sunshine on patches of bare soil.[3] During mating, the male stops a few centimetres away from the female and raises itself high on its hind legs and stretches its palps out and waves them to attract the female, moving gradually closer to her. If the female rejects his advances she will lunge forward and the smaller male will retreat and return a few seconds later to start his display again. After hatching from the eggs, the baby spiderlings stay on their mother and are carried by the female on her back until their second moult at which point they are large enough to fend for themselves.
(After twenty minutes of this poor fella displaying the female got bored and buggered off!)

The wind dropped and the sun came out in north wales today,
so it was off into the garden on a bug hunt my reward was this lovely little leaf hopper nymph.
Thats not a tail its crystalised waste.

Ranunculus is a large genus of about 600 species of plants in the Ranunculaceae. Members of the genus include the buttercups, spearworts, water crowfoots and the lesser celandine.
They are mostly herbaceous perennials with bright yellow or white flowers (if white, still with a yellow centre); some are annuals or biennials. A few species have orange or red flowers. There are usually five petals, but sometimes six, numerous, or none, as in R. auricomus. The petals are often highly lustrous, especially in yellow species. Buttercups usually flower in the spring, but flowers may be found throughout the summer, especially where the plants are growing as opportunistic colonisers, as in the case of garden weeds.
