Took a walk downtown along the Scioto River last Sunday. Due to the spring rains, the water level is higher and the flow is faster than normal, kicking up a lot of dirt and sediment, making the water this lovely shade of brown. Just thought you'd like to know why most of my shots from that day will be posted in black & white...

FYI, the Main Street dam is scheduled to be removed by 2015, improving water quality, lowering the water level, and creating about 33 additional acres of land to be used as greenspace downtown.

This is the underground concourse connecting the East and West wings of the National Gallery in Washington, D.C. - featuring "Multiverse", the light sculpture installation created by American artist Leo Villareal.

Our trip to Washington, D.C. a couple years ago was one of the more visually interesting I've been on recently. I currently don't seem to be taking many good photos, so I've been going back through the archives and, after a second look, have found quite a few more from this trip that I thought were worth posting, so here they are - enjoy!

The historic Old Post Office Pavilion building - on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C. Built in 1899, I hear that it is now going to be turned into a luxury hotel by Donald Trump!

New monochrome version of this shot for the gallery show - turned out to be one of the favorites. This one is in black & white, though the color version is pretty monochromatic as well...
