This feeding Flamingo shot was taken at the Slimbridge Wetland Trust, Gloucestershire. I pleased I got the timing right on this shot, just as the bill touched water with the bonus of the reflection/silhouette.
Another shot from my favourite spot in Herefordshire, I hope you're not getting bored of these, but thought this would be good to post.
I sat here for some time, hoping to catch a bird in flight or landing on the lake, so I'm very happy to catch the bird in flight plus the Canadian Goose on the lake!
A Bluebell in my garden, in bright Sunlight. Bit of a challenge for me to be able to get this, only very slightly edited shot.

Personally very pleased with the result as it was a more technical shot than I'm used too. It's good to step out of your 'comfort zone' once in a while!
St Mary's Church, Kempley has in its chancel "the most complete set of Romanesque frescos in northern Europe, including the Christ in Majesty painting created in about 1120. On the walls of the nave are further images, including a wheel of life, showing the life cycle of man. These are worked in tempera painted on dry lime mortar, unlike those in the chancel which are true frescoes. The Churches timber structured roof is the oldest roof of any building in Britain dating from 1120-1150.
St Mary's Church is owned by English Heritage and maintained by The Friends of Kempley Churches.
A quick shot taken of this Blue Tit in (a nesting box I made some years ago) my garden.

The box is situated to an upstairs window, so, this was a creep around the curtain job so as not to spook him! Been very lucky as I made the nesting box around 6 years ago & for 5 of those I've had a nesting pair & brood!
Time for a change from landscape shots for a moment I feel, so, adding this, just, well, because I can, ha, ha!

A shot back from 2010 of a Collared Dove which if I recall stood upon my garden fence.

The Collared Dove has spread rapidly through Europe over the past few decades from the Balkans. The first in Britain were seen in 1955 and now seen throughout the British Isles.

Apparently the characteristic, ruby coloured eyes become more red in colour as they age.

This brood of four Swallows were nesting on top of a security light only feet above washing-up facilities at a Camp-Site!

A couple of them were able to go out on 'Test Flights' now & again. A good thing as it allowed a little more food & space for the runt (which was doing very well when I left!!)

Amazing to see how at ease they were above people talking & the clashing of pots & pans! Great to see the parents flying in-feeding-& out at lightening speed!

Never do I fail to be amazed at the natural world & to think these little birds will fly to Africa for winter & back in a matter of months is nothing short of incredible!!

Another shot of this previously posted bird.

While my wife was gardening this little chap (assuming it's male!) was very close by, eating ants.

I actually had time to get my camera & sit down & take shots. He stayed for a long time & we could easily have touched him, as he was so close!

It took a little time to Identify it, but eventually realised was a Robin.

Apparently they start to get there red breast after there first malt at 8 to 12 weeks. You may start to see patchy red breasted Robins any time from now to October.

Recently taken to The Swan at Hanley Swan Nr Malvern which has a nice pond just across from the pub. Whilst pulling up my wife noticed this heron stood on top of a duck house. I just got a shot in before it flew off, so apologise for it being a little pixilated, but pleased I got the shot in anyway!

Another view/angle of a shot previously added. Black Bird takes a bath during summer heat. I put the water there so the birds could have a drink but this little chap thought otherwise! Feedback is very much welcomed.

This lovely Black Bird took a nice bath during some hot weather last summer. I only put it there so they could have a drink, I hope he's not expecting an upgrade to a Jacuzzi next summer!
