This is a picture of Niōmon (Deva) Gate of Kiyomizu-Dera temple with some cherry blossom in the foreground. This is a Buddhist temple located in eastern Kyoto, Japan. This is one of the many UNESCO World Heritage sites in Kyoto.

Back to my backyard...amazing light but not the best comp. Light was changing so fast and I did not get a chance to find another comp.

Thanks to Van who found and took me to this wild flower bed near Lake Mead yesterday morning.

Made this picture from Tokyo Metropoliton Building in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

Thanks to Ippei and Janine for travel tips. Because of them I was able to see some great sites in Tokyo and Kyoto.

An Oppurtunity-Bamboo Path

I waked through this serene and picturesque bamboo forest in Arashiyama near Kyoto, Japan along with several other tourists. For a moment, I pondered that I would never get an opportunity to make an image without few people in my frame. But it started raining and I found my bliss...the path started clearing up and the colors got saturated.

As a wise man once said: "Opportunity, sooner or later, comes to all who work and wish."

Evening Mountain Glow

This is a picture of a small village nestled in the mountain ranges just east of Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir, India. After three days of overcast conditions, the sun finally broke through the skies and I was blessed with this spectacular scene and atmosphere. I am not sure whether I did justice to the scene but again I will leave that to your judgment...

Vaishno Devi Mandir (Temple) in Jammu & Kashmir, India is where I made this image. This is one of the holy Hindu temples in India. Based on wikipedia, aproximately 8 million pilgrims visit the temple every year and it is the second most visited religious shrine in India. My purpose for the trip was also pilgrimage, but I couldn’t resist making this shot.

I clicked this picture in 2006 at Illusison Craig near Red Rock. There are actually couple of rainbows. The top one is not clearly visible.

This is a re-processed version of one of my previous images that I had posted couple of years ago. Since then I have improved my processing know-how which is evident in this image when you compare this with the old one (posted in the comment below).

More recently, I have picked up few new techniques...so know I am debating about processing this image one more time. This dilemma is a result of continuous learning which I guess is a good thing...

Hot off the press...just came back from Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. I made this picture yesterday morning in Zebra Canyon, one of the many but probably the prettiest slot canyon in the Monument.

Very minor post-processing on this image.
