I've been trying to upload something to Flickr every day, so here is a photo of Casey from almost a year ago! I wasn't kidding when I saw a few days ago that I still have tons of photos from the past year that I want to edit and blog! I'm also proud of the fact that I can look at photos that I took a year ago and still love them enough to want to post them!

Every piece of this outfit (with the exception of the purse, which I recently bought at an antique store) was my mom's from the 60s. Both tops, pants, shoes, necklace, earrings, watch, & bracelet. I'm so obsessed with anything & everything with history & a story.

Yesterday was the 3-year anniversary of my first day as a full-time photographer. I celebrated by doing a shoot in the morning with my favorite girl, Casey! I've said this before, but I honestly wish I could shoot with her every single day. I just adore her!!

I'm not really into props, but I bought this camera a couple weeks ago and thought it would be cute with this outfit :)

Today (July 12th) was the 3-year anniversary of my first day as a full-time photographer. I celebrated by doing a shoot this morning with my favorite girl, Casey! I've said this before, but I honestly wish I could shoot with her every single day. I just adore her!!

I swore never to shoot on railroad tracks...but we were limited with time so we just stayed in her mom's neighborhood - and I think this actually really suited the styling. This isn't necessarily my favorite photo from this set, but I wanted to do a video showing my editing process, and this was the one that I decided to do.

Watch how I edited it here: vimeo.com/24759695. It includes skin cleanup, dodging & burning, and the use of one of my actions ("One" from Set One)! Also, I did end up doing a little bit more dodging on her chest and arms after I had finished recording. The video quality isn't the best when viewing full-screen...so I definitely need to play around with my export settings next time around :)

I’m doing a “photobooth” type of thing for a wedding reception tonight, and am borrowing a ringflash to use for it. I wanted to test it out before the reception (I’d never used one before, but have always loved the look of it!) so Casey and I shot with it for about 15 minutes last night after I did new headshots for her. I absolutely love it! I’m now tempted to buy a ringflash for myself…what do you think? :) It was a ton of fun to shoot these…Casey & I spent pretty much the entire time laughing!

Casey is home from LA for a week to visit her family, so of course we had to take some pictures! Casey saw this in the woods we were shooting in, so we trudged through mud, got attacked by bugs, and hopped fallen trees & flooded areas to get to it. So worth it! See more on my blog!
