My First Cutout! I was meddling with photoshop the first time today out of sheer boredom. (The rest of the world was not working, and no emails, no phonecalls) Somehow, I managed to do a cutout effect. :D

Just spent my whole afternoon at a kid's bitrhday party.... The funny thing was that I did not know anyone there previously. I wanted to try taking pictures of kids, so tagged along as the "photographer".

Besides juggling the food and camera. I needed to also avoid the water-filled balloons and gun fights as well.

The only thing standing between me and the blue skies.... is the glass ceiling.

This is Bugis Junction in Singapore. It has a nice glass ceiling which lets in the natural light and keep the air-conditioning trapped in the shopping complex. Many little push carts stalls lined in the alleys below.

P.S: I am flying back to Singapore tomorrow for a couple of days. I am considering whether to leave my camera behind. It is a tough decision.

Singapore is hot. It is near the equator line. Whenever I return to the little sunny isle, these aged gigantic rain trees offer the much needed shade from the sun. Many trees in Singapore are really old, I remember driving past fallen trees during thunderstorms.

My favourite drive is along the Upper Thomson Road, where the umbrella-shaped trees lined the sides of the roads.

The tall building in the pic is Swissôtel The Stamford. It is the tallest hotel in Singapore at 226m and 73 floors, and is the sixth tallest hotel in the world. It is also the sixth tallest building in Singapore. It is housed in the Raffles City complex and has 1263 rooms, the most number of rooms of any hotel in Singapore. Completed in 1985, it was then the tallest hotel in the world and known as the Westin Stamford. It was refurbished in 2001 together with Raffles The Plaza. On the 69th-71st story, there is a food and beverage complex called Equinox comprising a number of restaurants and bars. Guests are allowed to dine at Raffles the Plaza food and beverage outlets as they are connected and operated by the same management. On 1 Jan 2002, the two Raffles City hotels were renamed due to a change in management. The hotels had been previously managed by Starwood Hotels and Resorts, but are now operated by Raffles International.

I have been hibernating in bed most of these winter days. No central heating in Shanghai makes winter here really miserable. Today is -2C to 5C. I could hardly feel my toes at work. :(

My fav from the series... I like the long shadows cast early in the morning and the texture of the floor in the soft sunlight. The lone figure also sets a a certain mood.
