2012.10.28 - Stranger #20 - Roy

It was an early dinner for me, a blue plate special. It isn't often you meet proprietors who are as friendly as Roy of Tetonic Pizza. After putting his pies into the oven, I was happy hear him gush about his wife - who was also from the same hometown as myself. The pizza was pretty good too; the company was better.

It has been a while since I've added to this project. I do have a few people that I have yet to add, but I have yet to catalog the film stuff.

Weapon of Choice: Nikon F3
I am in Danny's debt. I met him in this little cafe. He is a professional photographer, and gave me some really neat insight into my negatives. From someone (like myself) who has never had any formal training, this little one on one was quite important for me.
I look forward to a future encounter where I might be able to meet Danny again.

Weapon of Choice: Shooting from the hip with his holga and mounted flash.
Tom was another individual who was happy to do a little shop talk. After exploring one of the larger flower markets, during the Lunar New Year Celebration, we all sat down with a cup of coffee. Tom was wonderful company as Danny, Tom and myself collaborated.

Weapon of Choice: Leica M2 + 50mm Summarit
Eric was using a M2 that day. I was using a M3. He had a Leica, I had a Leica. Just like little 8 year old boys, we started comparing toys. I did enjoy the shop talk (which eventually diverged into this project). Eric was using a 50mm summarit that day and was eventually kind enough to get me give it a try.
I do like how it renders, and I also really like how the aperture blades leave aperture shape perfectly round. Just like the classic elmar.
