The Evzones is the name of several historical elite light infantry and mountain units of the Greek Army. Today, it refers to the members of the Proedriki Froura (Presidential Guard), an elite ceremonial unit that guards the Greek Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Hellenic Parliament and the Presidential Mansion. The unit is famous around the world for its unique traditional uniform, which has evolved from the clothes worn by the klephts who fought the Ottoman occupation of Greece. The most visible item of this uniform is the fustanella, a kilt-like garment. Their proven valour and peculiar dress turned them into a popular image for the Greek soldier, especially among foreigners.

Peshawar is situated in a large valley near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, between the eastern edge of the Iranian plateau and the Indus Valley. The city is the theater of violence and attempt orchestrated by talibans.
Peshawar has recently evolved into a very big city with a broad range of ethnic diversity. In the last three decades, there has been a significant increase in urban population, in part due to internal migration of people in search of better employment opportunities, education, and services, in part because of the afflux of Afghan refugees and other people displaced by military operations and civil unrest in neighboring regions.
Peshawar is considered a most strategic city for the United States-led military campaign in nearby Afghanistan, because many supplies for NATO and US troops are sent via Peshawar as it is located 200 kilometers from Kabul, the capital city of Afghanistan.

Al-Hamidiyah Souq is the largest and the central souk in Syria, located inside the old walled city of Damascus next to the Citadel. The souq starts at Al-Thawra street and ends at the Umayyad Mosque plaza. It was one of the treasures featured in Around the World in 80 Treasures presented by Dan Cruickshank.
