Hunting For a Tree

I love Christmas this year. Well, I always love Christmas. But, this year is particularly fun because Brayden is so excited and enthusiastic about everything.

We get a fresh tree every year. From a real Christmas tree farm. We drive past the Christmas tree farm several times a week and I always ask Brayden to look out the window and pick out his tree. He was so excited to actually go and get to pick out his very own tree.

He saw this little tree and said, “Aw, he’s so cute!”. But, we convinced him that this little guy had to keep growing and maybe he could be our tree next year.

His favorite part was playing hide and go seek in the trees.

He didn’t quite understand why we couldn’t take it home that day. But, the boy has a lot of persistence and we ended up picking it up early because he would not stop talking about decorating the tree!

Wish I would have had my camera when we picked it up because he thought it was the funniest thing that there was a tree on the roof of our car!

As I worked away in my office the boys put up the Christmas lights. It seems that every year Christmas gets more and more exciting for Brayden. And for us too as we get to see him be so excited about everything!

As I watched out my window, Brayden was mesmerized by this big, dancing (kind of scary) Santa. He wasn’t quite sure what to think about it. I wonder what he was thinking in that little head of his?

The day of Amy and Louis’ wedding clouds loomed overhead. And they looked like they really wanted to rain. I kept my fingers crossed all day and luckily there was no rain. Still cloudy, but no rain. And then, as we started to take Amy and Louis’ pictures, the sun miraculously appeared. It was like someone was watching over them and knew just when to call in that special favor. It was perfect.

Amy and Louis are so much fun to be around. They are fun and silly and just so in love. They made my job easy!

Congratulations to Amy and Louis! I wish you many, many years of happiness together!
