This (along with some photos) is my final piece for my A2 Art exam. It measures about 9cm across.

Due to the general rubbishness of both my printer and myself I haven’t been able to send off the prints for the print winners yet, but hopefully I’ll be able to soon :)

Just letting you print giveaway winners know that I haven't been able to print your photos because the colour balance went all weird on the printer. Finnaly got it sorted today, however the mass print of all of my coursework photos has left me without paper, but I've ordered some more and should be able to send them in the next week.

If I had the choice, right now, to leave, go, disappear for a year, head for France – it’s my make believe – well, I’d leap at the chance: job, minimum wage, obscured old face, new place, new library card, put down my studies and pick up some books, rent a flat, and a life while I’m at it for I’m sick of this static; when I’d walk I’d carry my life on my back (there’s comfort in that). I’d whitewash the walls and forget that you thought me the Florence I wasn’t; don’t forget I’m little, brittle, had hammered out that malleable mind with your world so wise only to end up confusing your lies for mine. Blackmail’s a dish I’d never anticipated you serving: “do it and I’ll say you didn’t; don’t do it and I’ll make it look as though you did”. To lose dignity is one thing, but to lose the trust of those you care for should be there for is far worse, and you made sure that I suffered both.

One year on, I’d wear my head on my shoulders and my words on my sleeve and pick up where I left off, three weeks from the deadline, but, then, maybe I’d know where I’d want to go.

Because I haven't uploaded a drawing in a while :)

This comes up on screen two or three times as large as the actual drawing; the actual thing is about 8cm head to tail.
Sigh, my stream is a bit birdy right now. I'll get to some more conceptual stuff soon...

Sooo, I'm off to the wonderful Isles of Scilly for a couple of weeks, which will hopefully give me a chance to actually take some pictures, as I haven't for awhile. Anyhow, when I get back I shall be drawing out the winners for my PRINT GIVEAWAY, so please do enter before it closes :)

I've given up a lot, these last six months or so, for you two. Two people with the same horrible problem, but one caliban's anger at not being able to see his face in the glass, the other his anger at seeing it. Hours of talking, reasoning, having to keep the secrets I tried to persuade you needed telling. I couldn't risk losing your trust because, even from the most selfish perspective, how could I possibly live with myself had I not been there and the worst had happened? But I hated and I hate that I alienated people staying close to you. Now you're both no longer so critically terrifying, you've found methods for dealing with things, and I know it's not such a risk to go days without talking. It's a relief, and I am so happy for your signs of contentedness, but I've been left lost. I've forgotten who I was before I had to deal with this. And, much as things are looking up, the time I lost and the mistakes I made can't be undone. That's what I've been trying to say for a while. Yet, I know I haven't really explained anything at all. Sorry.

More from yesterday :) A familiar face for a lot of you, and a stunning one at that. Do check out her stream, it's awesome :)

As each hand hoists, a little bark flakes from the rungs into the dreamer’s chalked hands. The gnarls and irregularity are illusion, a mental stumble through the exhilarating pressure, as 2012 look on with the further seven billion behind screens, blaring out birdsong, ripples, soft rustle of leaves. Dirt chalk becomes compacted under nails, whilst a further streak across the left leg goes unnoticed in the adrenaline of the ascent. The scaling of the laddered tights feels endless under the gaze of the insects, the rat race, and yet finality suddenly advances upon her as a final heaving of the spindly athlete’s body brings about the platform. The Stage. The nausea of a stolen look down is intensified by the smell of chlorine, dust in throat, but an indulgent gaze over the 2012 attentive faces and all that they embody reminds of the once elusive purpose: here lies the essence of what it is to be unique. Here the world is one, whilst she is the other. Here the wind’s holler is stricken with awe and envy at the girl whose talent makes her differences just that little bit more significant than those between everyone else. Unison gazes upon this world’s wonder and the bough’s sorry creak no longer brings foreboding but a spring from which to launch into something wider, greater. Toes curl over the peripheral, gripping the last shreds of angst for those left behind in terrible anonymity. But there is to be no guilt in oblivion. A hush falls as she raises her arms, and although leaves tease the tips of her fingers, she is ready now. The watching world awaits her plunge, and she will deny display no longer. She denies too somersaults, half pikes, twists. She descends, leaving the world to gasp and judge as she denies convention with her simple, beautiful swallow from too great a height into too little water. The seven billion crumple as the river washes lines over the dreamer’s form. The search’s beginning lies half a day away, a time for being the brief, late centre of limited attention.
