The pastel pinks and blues of twilight over the Badwater Basin salt flats in Death Valley National Park. The solitude and silence in Death Valley is almost overwhelming as it was on this particularly beautiful morning at the park.

I was fortunate to get a decent sunset and sunrise during my time at Badwater during my last Death Valley trip. Here, the salt flats are under a thin layer of water.
