A worker throws out bait for the hungry, leaping salmon. The starlings congregate awaiting a free snack.

By having the fish pens situated in a sea loch, the salmon develop more like wild ones with strong tails and fins, as they have to swim against the currents and tides. The fish are also less likely to succumb to disease.

This leaflet was pushed through the letterbox with the post. Along with west Edinburgh, Lewis and Harris has been chosen to take part in the census rehearsal. I'm not why apart from maybe the organisers want more Gaelic speakers.

As an alternative presentation of haggis, neeps and tatties, I thought I'd try this thirds idea. I was very happy how well it turned out considering this was the first time I'd ever done something like this.

I really could do with some proper lights for shots like this - I seem to be constantly recovering shots from dingy lighting.
