BrickArms RPG-7 and Brick Army RPG Reveiw

Before I get started, I would like to take the time to announce that my computer is back upand running. This means I will slowly upload pictures of my summer projects over this week. Now to the reveiw.

Grip ability: Both RPGs are grippable bry the handgrip (as the picture shows), right be for the exhaust cone on the back, above the hand grip, and right behind the warhead. Only the Brickarmy RPG can be gripped on the main shaft behind the the main hand grip. What a mouthful.

Scale: Though they are both in minifigure scale, the Brickarms RPG-7 is longer, and slightly thicker.

Detail: The Brickarms RPG-7 sports 2 sights and a trigger guard but no trigger. The Brickarmy RPG does not include rights but does include a trigger to go with it's trigger guard.

Overview: They are both great weapons, but because detail>grippability in my book, I prefer the Brickarms RPG-7. That's not to say the Brickarmy RPG dosen't have potential for modifications, such as adding a homing system of some kind, but Brickarms RPG-7 is better out of the package.
One final thing I would like to note is the Brickarms RPG-7 is glossier and appears to be made out of denser plastic.

Probably my last Halo themed figure for a while due to a low inventory and I am getting sick of making the same fig. This one, lets call him "Omega", was made for my brother in exchange for something to paint. Technically, he is wearing black armor, but when I applied a metallic dry-brush it became an awesome mithral color similar to the default Noble 6.

...You might as well bring a gun. I present my ODST. Started around the same time as my Spartan, the ODST became a tougher challenge. The main challenge was coming up with a suitable shoulder pad. I found inspiration in Eclipsegrafx ODSTs and he has been tagged henceforth. A Battle Rifle would look great with this wouldn't it. (hinthintnudgenudge)

(I really hope that is grammatically correct.) A MP40, FG42, and MG42 round out my WWII collection. The MP40 is actually a touch up of an older mod, upgraded with a dry brush weathering effect. The MG42 is the same one from a month ago, and the FG42 is a newer mod,but is still from a month ago.

If it's not apparent my last burst of posting has been me playing catch up.

I would also like to inform anyone interested in my gun mods that I am willing to part with quite a few of them.

...So freaking bad. After two months of work( really only 10-12 hours if you exclude my procrastination) my spartan is finally done. The story behind my Cheif starts 2 years ago when I was in a halo craze. That Guilty spark died out soon, and was only previously rekindled with the sight of Will Chapman's Halo-based prototypes. So with that in my mind I set out to make a Spartan and ODST(It's about 1/2 done)It has been a bonding experience between me and my father (He does non-Lego WWII models)and I have thoroughly enjoyed making this figure. It would look great with a Battle Rifle wouldn't it? /hint,hint,nudge,nudge/

These would be a contribution for the rebuilding society Collaborative Build. One thing to note for anyone else in the group: Barely equip your citizens with weapons. There should be a 1:5 ratio of settlers who are armed.

... filled with bullets. These are the results of my experimentation on camouflage. I decide to try with the 6-color , a.k.a. Chocolate chip, a.k.a. Cookie dough, a.k.a. DBDU, pattern.
I will have an instruction guide up on Brickarms forums later this week.

For the Modding Madness Contest. It is an M14 EBR that consists of a Brickarms Bipod, U-Clip, M1 Carbine, M24, STG Vampir 44, and Space Assault Rifle.

It was Painted tan and then dry-brushed with gunmetal paint to give it a battle worn look.
Parts will be marked where used.

The SS Plane Autumn Camouflage was my failed attempt to use water slide patterns on lego bricks. If the project were to be successful, I would have made them the standard issue leggings of one of my factions. unfortunately this is not the case. Getting the slides to conform to the edges of the legs proved too difficult, and just looke messy. Maybe one day, in a galaxy far far away, I'll pick this project back up.

The reason why I posted this fig is to display the armor* and to capture some of that unique vibe that I get from looking at JasBricks figs.

*This is my test armor, the armor that I try painting techniques, like dry-brushing and washing, on.
