One of these days I am going to accomplish what I have in my head by way of surrealism... Some things just don't come naturally to me... surrealistic thinking is one of them, but I am so in love with surreal photos I see here in flickr. I worked hours on this photo that isn't at all what i wanted to do with it, oh well... This couple was at the car show I went to, they danced wonderful!

I keep thinking that there is a way to make desserts the most healthy that they can be so I an enjoy them but not regret them. I made a paper thin gluten free rust, I poured the thinnest line of homemade lemon pudding (I accidentally made it too sour so a small amount was fine!) This pie was delicious! I hated this when I was a kid? I think it's the balance of ingredients that I an control now.

The pickled carrots were delicious with the salmon sushi and I think the pickled berries would have been great too if I hadn't added the (licorice) absinthe.

What a crazy cooking day this was for me. Last week I had collected the ingredients to make shrimp sushi, but I ended up not creating it and eating all the shrimp. I decided to get salmon and try the sushi this weekend. While I was at the grocery store this morning an old idea came around and that was that I should try pickling some food that would compliment the sushi. This is the list of foods I came up with to pickle. While I was still at the store I realized that lemon and lime juice might enhance and add a clean flavor to some of the foods I was going to try pickling. I didn't add citrus to everything, but it definitely added to the flavor profile of these choices.

I turned around and our Flower Designer (Jordan) was standing there holding these gorgeous orange roses! I grabbed my phone camera (he's always so good about posing for me...). Then I made it HDR, then I layered that wheat paste poster segment (on south congress) and added the circle...
