green floating grass: Barton Springs Greenbelt

I knew I needed to go outside and take some pictures this long holiday weekend... I did however pull my back out yesterday and it's day two of: OUCH! Mold spores are swirling around the Austin air like the Congress bridge bats emerging at sundown (I still haven't seen that!!!). ACHOO!!!! And I have had this notion to use my macro tubes for a while now... I decided to head out early (before the Texas heat crippled me) and bend and squat (OUCH) to take some macro shots! I still can't get the hang of these macro tubes and I had to take the whole mess off soon after getting to the park, but it was so worth it. The air smelled like a hot house, and in one bend in the path it smelled like tea. Walking and gently stretching my back helped a bit (that plus Ibuprofen...) Most everyone walking through the park were cheerful and happy... And after all this recent rain it was lush and the creek was full!* One of my favorite sites were two little girls in summer jumpers carrying large pink nets to collect something-or-other in!*

Walking and gently stretching my back helped a bit (that plus Ibuprofen...)
