It's a bit of a shame I didn't have a clearer sky that day.

There are two courtyards inside the Schloss, one just past the gatehouse as you enter, and another up a flight of stone steps, about 5 metres higher. This is the second one.

Pagodenburg

The Pagodenburg, another outbuilding in the grounds of Schloss Nymphenburg, Munich.
This was the first supplementary building erected in the Schloss grounds, and is the smallest. It's basically just a handful of rooms to sit in and relax out of the sun while wandering around the enormous park-like grounds, and is decorated inside in a Chinese style.

Hunting kitchen

Kitchen in the Amalienburg, Schloss Nymphenburg, Munich.
This was where the cooks presumably roasted slabs of deer and whatnot that the royal hunting parties brought back. The porcelain tiles on the walls are all hand painted.

This was where the royal hunting party hung out after a jolly good afternoon of chasing and shooting deer or whatever. Yeah, a nice relaxing place to have a beer with your mates. Nothing pretentious.
