Prom

This pass Saturday I took prom photos for Jesse and Karen! They were really photogenic and fun to shoot. The funny thing is, me and Jesse met over Xbox live when I was about 16. We trashed talk each other everyday then someone became really good friends aha. About four years later I'm taking his prom pictures. How crazy is that? Nerdy, but crazy.

This picture is my life in a nutshell lol. So often find myself doing other things besides homework then the night before it's due I stress myself out. I have been getting better about it still happens from time to time. So this is the first photo I have posted that I used all of my new equipment! Got two ab800's on either side of me slightly behind me and a octobox camera right. I am madly in love with these lights and my new octobox!

I have had this idea in my head for awhile but never did it. Our next assignment is a POV assignment, and we have to shoot as if the camera was an object or pet. So my idea was finally about to come into reality. I know it's not the best blood graphics and such but I think it gets the point across. If you can't tell the POV is supposed to be the gun.

Hiccups

Many of these tea houses have been popping up, but this is the closest to my house. Unlike the other tea houses, this one gives you the most popcorn chicken ^_^. I've only had like two of their drinks, the green apple and pink flamingo, but both with extra jelly! Yummmmmyyyyy! Today was pretty sick, woke up and went skimming down at Seal Beach with Leslie. I really thought it was gonna be a suck day because it was so windy, but it turned out to be really fun. I felt really solid on my board today. Like I feel every time I go I get more and more comfortable on my board. Leslie did a back 180 today to! I am pretty surprised on how dedicated she is to skimming aha. She eats it pretty hard but every weekend she gets super stoked to go at it again aha. She's a keeper. Enjoy!

I cannot believe it has already been two years since graduation. It seems like yesterday I wasn't even thinking about college and now I am gonna have to apply for grad school. Time flies man. I really like this photo because it gives the since of running away with the money. All I did to get eh effect is ride my cruiser and put my 7D on continuous. Turned out pretty good I think. A few weeks ago I took a picture with some Redvine in my hand and the background was all blurred out. My photography instructor saw it and said I should do a series of photos like that with different things in my hands. So here here is the second to the lot. All the money I spend on the remaining studio equipment that I needed. Sad to see it gone, but happy for what is to come=]

Double Exposure

Man, this past week has been fun/stressful/painful. The week past by so fast it was not even funny. It feels like yesterday was Monday. Maybe it's just me, but ever since I turned twenty I feel like the days have been just passing me like the view driving down a freeway. I can't believe that in about a year I will be transferring to a university. If I can keep my GPA up then hopefully my dream school. I don't wanna jinx it so ill just let you know if I do haha. I really love double exposures on film. It's fun to do and the outcome is unpredictable. For this picture I took a full roll of really contrasty photos then a different roll with different textures and such. This one came out really nice. I like it because the tall grass kinda looks like fire. Enjoy!

Info: Put both negatives on top of each other. I think it was f/5 for about 10 sec. and burned the top half for another 5-7 sec.

This photo has a pretty cool story to it. I was at Signal Hill and this guy yells at me when I was walking by "Hey you! Come take a picture of me". So I took a picture. He seemed pretty bumbed out, and we ended up having a deep conversation about life aha. Prior to our run in, he had a pretty rough night. Hope he got his chet together.
