Go to any public celebration in Nunavut and you will see something like this. You're basically free to walk up and dig in. In the silver bowl, assorted viscera. In the black pot, intestines. The fat which is still on the pelt can be scraped with an ulu which yields a handy oil for burning in a qulliq (that's a sort of lamp).
I would love to take some Inuit hunters and a seal and a slab of cardboard and set them down in the food court in Mic Mac Mall and say "Dig in boys!"

They may look like sevens, but they are actually question marks at the Iqaluit airport. Which is totally helpful when you are at the airport.

Okay, now normally I would say that the "Flag as 'may offend'" option is for sissies and prudes, but in this case, I'm not even sure about posting this photo.
Let's put it in context: Inuksuk High School held its annual Inuit Cultural Day Thursday, and as everyone knows, Inuit eat seal. So elders were showing the kids how to carve up a seal, and lo and behold two of them happened to be pregnant. I ate part of the other seal (not the fetus). It was okay, but more fun was the Inuit kids watching me to see if I was going to puke. The elder was nice too: she asked if the piece of meat was too big.
It's hard to know for sure, but I'm willing to bet a fair amount of money that this is the only photo of a seal fetus on Flickr.
