Now that the F2K Volumes are over my stream's going through a transitional period. I've taken 2 new photoshoots with my girls that I plan on uploading sometime later this week but before then I guess I just want to flush out some old stuff I never uploaded. So for the next few days I'll be spamming my photostream with random pics

I went out to Walmart today and picked up some new stuff. They didn't have everything I wanted but you gotta take what you can get, so...
I got home and gave them to Sassy, but who knows when they'll show up on the models. I did have 2 photoshoots with that last pink leopard dress I bought, they just haven't been posted yet ;-)

Blaine --- It was great being back in Australia. The waves were killer!

Christie --- How's Summer doing?

Blaine --- She's doing really good! Even though she misses everyone, I think she just really missed being home more. You know with our family and all that...

Nikki --- I love your new hair. Blonde was so last season

Skipper ---- Excuse me! Blondes sitting right up here!

Nikki --- Not you two, you know what I mean, but anyway....

[Sassy enters the room]

Sassy --- Hey, Blaine, love how the reroot is coming along. I have exciting news you guys! Model Lux wants to do a feature story on me and all the changes going on at F2K.

Skipper --- That sounds great!

Sassy --- And they want to have a photo spread of me and all girls of F2K.

Christie --- Now that sounds great! When is it?

Sassy --- This coming Monday. I need all the girls on set at 8am sharp!

Blaine's hair's still not done, I just couldn't wait to start Vol. 2
I did start on Nick's though but I didn't like how that red looked on him. He'll still be going red, just now with a different shade.
Lots of work to do... ;-)

I had so much fun with this little interactive experiment! Not knowing which models would be chosen (Part 1, Part 2.5) and not having the control of what they would wear (Part 2) and waiting to see what the setup (Part 3) would be was kind of nail biting for me. In all honestly if I was doing the shoot alone I would have selected the blue and purple dresses for Drew & Raquelle but the gold & black actually turned out extremely better than I had expected. I really love the results and how it all came together, hope you all do too! Until next time... ;-D

Derek & Nicholas Mattel are big time socialites and heirs to the Mattel fortune ($$$). They've been close family friends with Barbie and the Roberts' for years. They're grandfather's company handles all of Barbie's business affairs ;-)

I know the last time Christie was seen she was in the process of getting braids (www.flickr.com/photos/fashionisto2k/6795739917/) but after I returned from my trip I kind of fell out of love with them / became un-enthused about finishing them. So... I took them out. Maybe I'll try braids another time...

My Mattel Shop order came in this week, yay! I got three of the new S.I.S. Rocawear dolls along with a Fashionistas Ryan. Before they arrived I had it in my head to have my AA dolls; Darren, Christie and Nikki, model the new looks. But when the SI.S. dolls actually got here my old ideas flew out the window, lol. I'm glad though because I think these guys really nailed it for Rocawear!

...The photo shoot that grew... and grew... and grew...lol
I was originally planning a solo photo with just Skipper, sort of a southern belle / GCB look.

Then it was gonna be a duo with Skip & Tess, where she had on a completely different white Fashion Fever dress.

Then I changed Teresa's dress to the one she's currently wearing plus she had on a pink necklace and the pink & black polka dot basics pumps with silver bracelets, kind of an opposites thing to Skipper.

Then I had Nikki sit in wearing the burgundy Stardoll dress but I wasn't really feeling it. So Nikki got the axe.

Then I added D. just for a little testosterone, lol, and he was originally rockin' the Stardoll red heart-shaped sunglasses.

Then I saw the blue necklace Teresa has on among my accessories and changed up the vibe to a blue & gold theme, also changing Darren's glasses

Then I remembered that perfectly blue colored Hollywood Hair dress and thought Nikki would really set it off, so back she came!

Then I went back and forth with a few white & gold accessories + shoes to finish her look, added Chompers (the Yorkie). 43 frames and a little photoshoping later and voilà xD

This is kind of how almost all of my group shots go, lol ...originally thought out as a solo shot, spiralled into a blue-tinged group quartet ;-)

This is the first photo I've been able to take since I got back. It's been raining and gloomy every day since I returned home. So when the sun finally decided to make an appearance this afternoon I was overjoyed to finally be able to get this shoot completed!

I got some unexpected news the other day and I'll be going out of town for a little while. So I probably won't be active on flickr for a bit. All the Barb' projects I've been working on will have to go on hiatus for now ...like Christie's braids. I'm about half way done with them but I'm not sure I'll have time to finish before I leave .....Au revoir, until I get back

This is what my Dad got me for X-Mas ...well, not really, lol. He got me gift cards and money so this is what I bought with them!!! I got the stuff up top earlier this week and I just got Ken's Mini Cooper TODAY!!! They only had 2 on the shelves and I snagged one of them (I might go back and get the other one, for collector's sake)
I deboxed the car and my dolls fit inside pretty nicely. Not at all like the promo pic, thank GOD!!! I'll try to do a little photoshoot with it later and upload it today. I'm so geeked out right now, xD

Rules: Take a picture of your FIVE favorite dolls bought in 2011

First off I have to say that I LOVE this picture! xD
...now on to the dolls... I completely revamped all my boys this year. The old boys just didn't cut it. They skated by when all my girls had belly button bodies but at the end of 2010 I started upgrading my girls to Fashionistas or semi articulated bodies and the old guys seemed out of place. As for Raquelle I try to fight it but she always seems to make her way back into photoshoots. I think I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and let her into the Haus if only on a sporadic level. I don't fully love her like I love my core 6 girls but I'm warming up to her. I love slightly simplistic pretty playline dolls and Raquelle almost fits that mold but her eye shadow is still a little heavy for my taste, her hair isn't kanekalon (I know I'm an odd one for my love of kanekalon hair) and her lips are a little too cotton candy pink than I'd like them to be... still I have hope that in 2012 we'll see different variations of her and maybe I'll find one that's just right for me ;-)
