Ye Old Railway Tunnel

RutlandSonia posted a photo:

PrinessNicola and I had a very eventful morning shooting this. The tunnel was pitch black and we were very reluctant to enter. After about 20 minute, we plucked the courage to enter. We were happy snapping away at some mineral depoits when Nicola turned around, looked at me and said "Shit run" I have never collapsed my tripod so quickly! We sprinted out the tunnel as fast as we could. I don't think I have ever been as scared as I was or run as quick I did then. I asked Nicola what she saw, she said she saw a red sillouette approaching us........ we still have no idea what she saw but we had no intention of waiting to find out! Not an amazing shot, but an eventful moment to share. After this, we had another eventful moment; what a morning!

An old local railway tunnel from an old railway line that opened in 1851 and stopped in 1967. Not many people know that this 448-yard tunnel exists. Today, the southern approach cutting is almost impassable thanks to mud and foliage. The tunnel itself is dry except for the short section. At this point, an outlet drains hard water into the tunnel forming wonderful mineral deposits on the floor. There are no refuges but several telegraph wire brackets remain.

PS. I have a dust spot that keeps moving about over the sensor. You can faintly see it on this shot and it has spoiled lots of my shots this day by appearing. Any tips on how to remove this would be appreciated, its very annoying.
