The gardens at Doddington Hall, a grade I listed Elizabethan mansion built between 1593 and 1600 by Robert Smythson for Thomas Tailor, who was the registrar to the Bishop of Lincoln. Doddington, Lincolnshire.

Lichfield Cathedral is the only medieval English cathedral built with three spires. Construction began in 1085 and it was not fully completed until all of the original wooden Saxon church was replaced in 1195. A lot of the Cathedral was destroyed during the Three Sieges of Lichfield during the English Civil War. Reconstruction started in the 1660's was aided by substantial funds donated by the restored monarch, King Charles II. It is a Grade I Listed Building in Lichfield, Staffordshire.

A footpath alongside the Catchwater Drain/Sincil Dyke north of Skellingthorpe, Lincolnshire. The drain was created by architect Sir John Rennie as part of the Lincoln West Drainage scheme in 1816 to make the lowlands on the west of the city more marketable for the landowners such as Lord Monson.

Birmingham Central Library, the largest non-national library in Europe, designed by John Madin, its inverted ziggurat form is a powerful example of the Brutalist style. A new library is being built in Centenary Square and this building is set to be demolished as part of the redevelopment of Paradise Circus.

Tanygrisiau Reservoir, the lower of two reservoirs which power the Ffestiniog Power Station a 360 MW pumped-storage hydroelectricity scheme, which can generate 360 megawatts of electricity within 60 seconds of the need arising. The station, commissioned in 1963, was the first major pumped storage system in the UK. It is operated by First Hydro, a UK company owned by a joint venture of International Power and Mitsui & Co. In Tanygrisiau, near Blaenau Ffestiniog, North Wales.

The Church of St Mary de Castro a Grade I Listed Building on Castle View in Leicester, Leicestershire. The church was founded in 1107 when Henry I of England took the lands and castle from a rebellious owner and granted them instead to Robert de Beaumont. Beaumont established it as a collegiate church within Leicester Castle bailey as a college served by a Dean and 12 Canons in honour of the Virgin Mary and All Souls and as a chantry chapel for the souls of him, his family and the first three Norman kings. He endowed this and 4 other churches with £6 of his income and land in or near the city.

Victoria Quays on the Sheffield and Tinsley Canal, the Canal Basin was a former coal yard of the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway. It ceased operation as a cargo port in 1970 and the site and buildings were largely neglected. A restoration and redevelopment of 1992–1994 reopened the site providing new office and business space and leisure facilities as well as berths for leisure canal boats. In Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

The Birmingham and Warwick Junction Canal as it crosses the Salford Junction Aqueduct (carrying the canal over the River Tame) under Spaghetti Junction and towards the Canal's terminus at Salford Junction where it meets both the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal and the Tame Valley Canal.

In 1929 the Birmingham and Warwick Junction Canal it was bought by the Regent's Canal company to form part of the Grand Union Canal which runs 137 from Salford Junction to London.

The Grade I Listed Peterborough Cathedral. It has been the site of church since 655 when one of the first centres of Christianity in central England known simply as Medeshamstede was founded during the reign of the Anglo-Saxon King Peada of the Middle Angles.

In 966 a Benedictine Abbey was created out of the former church by Athelwold, Bishop of Winchester. The Abbey survived battles between local folk-hero Hereward the Wake and the Norman invaders, but was destroyed by an accidental fire in 1116. Due to this it was rebuilt into the modern building between 1118-1237 in the Norman style.

The church houses many relics including the arm of St Oswald, two pieces of swaddling clothes which wrapped the baby Jesus, pieces of Jesus' manger, a part of the five loaves which fed the 5,000, a piece of the raiment of St Mary, a piece of Aaron's rod, and relics of St Peter, St Paul and St Andrew - to whom the church is dedicated.)

In 1541, following Henry VIII's Dissolution of the Monasteries all of the church's relics were lost but the church survived by being selected as the cathedral of the new Diocese of Peterborough. This may have been related to the fact that Henry's former queen, Katherine of Aragon, had been buried there in 1536.

In 1587, the body of Mary, Queen of Scots, was also buried here after her execution at nearby Fotheringhay Castle, but it was later removed to Westminster Abbey on the orders of her son, King James I of England.

The route of the former Manchester Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway heading towards the now disused Lincoln St Marks Railway Station from Grimsby. This section was closed in 1985 and the line diverted into Lincoln Central Railway Station.

This area of Lincoln is set to be transformed as Tentercoft Street is set to be extended through this area as part of a new East West Link Road, helping traffic avoid a Railway Crossing and for the pedestrianised area of the High Street to be extended.
