William Thomson "Will" Hay (6 December 1888 – 18 April 1949) was an English comedian, actor, film director and amateur astronomer.

He stared in many famous roles during his film career, as a Policeman, fireman, Teacher, Station master, Sea Captain, in such films as Oh Mr Porter, Boys will be Boys, Where's that fire, The Goose steps out to name but a few.
He died 18/4/1949 he had suffered a couple of strokes.

The drainage channel in the middle of this road is visiable in places on the Roman road at Blackstone edge, its a pity it is so very overgrown.

This was my old infants school, its all changed now, the old buildings are long gone, it was a nostalgia trip down a forgotten part of my life.
I was there during 1963 to 1965, i remember our maths teacher then was Mrs Geethins and she was old and slow and she looked over a 100 then.
