It's been a huge while since my last suit up. Ever since tobacco and sugar cane season began earlier this year, every single day I have been covered in mud, dust, blood, and embraced underneath the sun. Thanks to the bank ppl for invitation for my family to Grand Openings of your new branches in Robinson Kanchanaburi. It gives me a chance to be in touch with myself again =)

My Weight Loss Story 2010-Today

Dear Friends,

It’s been over a year and 3 months that I have been on weight loss program. This album is all about it. I have been making records over pictures from my iPhone.

Last year January 2011 during my business trip to Korat, I collapsed and was immediately sent to hospital. The doctor discovered that I had acute Hepatitis caused by heavily excessive drinking over the year and the cholesterol control pill called Crestor. The study showed that only 3 person out of 10000 patients that took this pill, would have the effects on them. I was a lucky one. This pill hit me like a train. I had to go to hospital for blood check every 2 days to make sure that my liver wouldn’t go any worse. I was easily exhausted and became really weak during the first stage.

Somehow, the doctor told me to start thinking more of my health and I ought to lose some weight. I was at 100 Kg when I as admitted to the hospital that time. Dr.Thawat, from Samitivej Hospital, was my personal doctor to look after my case. He told me that if only I lose 10 Kg, the chance of me getting other kinds of sickness would be reduced by 50%. I was moved. My mom got so worried about it and afraid that I would collapse again since last year was the busiest year in our past decade. I had 2 court cases, buying a lot of tobacco, marketing, new product launching; all in the first quarter of last year. Dr.Thawat insisted that I had to lose at least 10 Kg, but not beyond 1.6 – 2 Kg per month to prevent myself from having a kidney stone from extreme weight loss.

I began my weight loss seriously in April 2011 soon after I wrapped up the stuffs that kept me busy. By that time, my liver condition had already improved so much. My skin and eye color became normal. No more pale skin color. I begin to eat less and did more exercise. My weight came down slowly just as planned; 1.5-2 Kg per month. Today, I weight perfectly at 76.5 Kg, down by 23.5 Kg in total. I couldn’t be happier. As my weight start losing, my self-confidence also began to climb back to where it should again. I feel much younger once again. My snoring problem is reduced. My liver condition is perfect. I can do a little social drinking now. I can do longer exercise. I can ride my bike 20 Km without getting tired.

Many friends have asked me the secrets of how to do it. All I can say is that it’s DETERMINATION. I have made too many people who care about me worried so much already. I must become a new person. No more stress eating habit.

I want to give my thanks and greatest appreciation to many people who have helped me through this rough process stage of my life. First is my family, both my mom and my sister and cousins. Both have been encouraging me so much in many ways and gave me strength when I became extremely depressed. Second is my doctor, Dr.Thawat. Thank you for always picking up my phone even it was 3 AM in the morning when I collapsed again in September. Thank you for always being kind and cheerful. Last, there is no-one else to thanks besides all my friends who always have been supportive. Without you guys giving me prep-talk and all those things you put in my ears, I wouldn’t pull it off like this. Those friends include the ones from MUIC, my clients, bank people, my Taiwanese friends, Kanchanaburi friends, at Badminton Baan Pong court, at basketball court, Ermenegildo Staffs Friends, USA friends, AFS friends, my Shanghai Friends, My sister’s friends, and everyone else who came across my presence during last year.

Rest In Peace, My Son

One of my sons, Yvo Vom Lehn Hof or known as ไอ้โว่, had peacefully died of today morning at the age of 9 year old at the front yard of my kennel. Yvo had been suffering from severe hip dysplasia since he was 1 year old. His suffer had been increasing until it gets to the point where he was unable to walk last year. Our kennel vets disagreed to give him the hip replacement surgery since he was at his last stage of his life. I had consulted with over 3 top vets from all over for this surgery, but all of them said the same thing. They were afraid that Yvo wouldn’t be able to survive the pain from the surgery; and even he would survive it, he still might not be able to get back on his feet. I have been in great pain to see him suffered and unable to do anything about it. His death today brings greatest sorrow to all of us. Our tears won’t stop. And our unspeakable pain is too much to handle.

Yvo came to me in late 2006. His hip had already shown the sign of Hip dysplasia, so I didn’t want to push him and show him at any ring. However, I couldn’t let him go and sell him to anywhere else. This dog had been through a lot of bad things in his life. I told myself to take the best care of him until the last of his breath.

For anyone that has ever come across him, I’m more than certain that he could have pierce into your heart easily with that sweetness of him. For my life time, I have been raising a great numbers of dogs. And Yvo was the sweetest and the gentlest dog an owner like me could have had. He never bit, grown, or even gave anyone a rough feeling. Yvo always welcome my friends and also strangers’ dogs with incredibly calmness. Every night I went out for smoking, I could expect that he will be sitting next to the door guarding my sneaker and ready to accompany me anywhere. He never ever let me out of his sight. Yvo would go to everywhere I go; sit anywhere I sit; and watch my back while I was outside sipping my favorite tobacco. He gave me such confidence that nothing could do me any harm as long as he was around. Every time I sat down, he would come sitting right next to my arm reach, because he knew that I love petting his neck hair; and he liked it too. Then he would see me off at my house door. For over 6 full years that he had been living with me, he never missed his routine until 2 days ago. I couldn’t find him there at our rendezvous. I knew something went wrong and suspected that his time might come soon; way too soon. But I still kept my fingers crossed, but it just didn’t work. He was peacefully gone to heaven this morning. I guess I just have to watch my own back from now on. I hope your spirit in heaven will watch over me and my family.

Thank you, Yvo, for bringing such joy to my family, especially with me. When the world seemed down and left me in unspeakable sadness, you always reminded me to stop and got back on my feet. You are the greatest dog of my life. Thank you for sharing your kindness to everyone around you. I promise that you will never be far from my heart always. I am so sorry that I couldn’t do anything to hold your life a little longer and find the cure to your hip. Rest in peace, my son. You have already been missed. And no dog could have replaced you forever.

Been a long time since I took the pic with her. This is just yesterday. We went to ceremony together for school building opening. We donated some money on behave of my dad who already passed away.

Oh well, been a long time since you guys saw my mom in traditional Thai dress. Here she goes. I hope you guys haven't forgetten what she looks like just yet.
