The United Artists movie palace at 150 Bagley St in Downtown before the marquee was removed to "spruce up" the area before the 2006 Super Bowl game. This exquisite theater sits in ruin, facing an uncertain future, despite receiving a new roof and bits of odd work.

The Albert Kahn designed Krege Building at 76 W. Adams Avenue opened in 1914. After being renamed the "Kales Building" shortly after Kresge moved to a large headquarters, it closed in 1986. After remaining vacant for almost two decades, the renovated Kales Building came back to life in 2004 as apartments. Since opening it has hovered at over 90% occupancy.

This small pre-depression commercial building at 17th and Martin Luther King Blvd was demolished this past month. The only history that can be determined is that it was used in the laundry industry, based on the faded signage. The empty lot now joins the dozens nearby.

The historic Paul Robeson Academy, formerly known as the St. Francis School for Orphan Boys, at Linwood and Fenkell in Detroit suffered a major fire that was reported about 4am at May 10, 2010. Upon arrival of Engine 40 and Squad 5, they reported a doubtful and requested an extra alarm. The two alarm fire was fought with many aerials until after day break. Luckily, though it appears the fire completely destroyed the attic of the structure, the floors directly below appear to have minimal damage.

A former ghost ad, located on north-facing Woodward Avenue, south of Seven Mile Road in Detroit. The wall, once advertising Hopps Hardware Company(who occupied this building), Fisk Tires, The Champion double-ribbed core spark plug - "Outselling because it is a better spark plug," has been painted over white and advertises the current second-hand store. It was originally painted by Thos. Cusack Co.
