My word of the year for 2012 was "courage", and I don't think I sufficiently applied myself to my word.
This year, it's a toss up of two words - "Believe" and "Chance". It's New Year's Day, so I should have chosen by now, but I haven't.
I guess they both kind of go hand-in-hand, as I need to believe in myself in order to take chances. It will hit me, and I'll know which one is right.

I took this photo in 2011. It was a "lifer" sighting for me, and I was heartbroken when I saw that I did not get the Jewelwing completely in focus. However, a year later, I look at this photo and see something more. A technically good photo? No. A photo I find beautiful? Yes. I guess that's what matters.
