I´ve been pixel-peeping a lot lately and comparing lenses - the 16-35 VR I used here is really an excellent lens.
I doubt that the newest but still largely untested addition to my arsenal, the "holy" 14-24 F2.8 is a lot better in terms of overall sharpness, except for the corners, but I bought it for other reasons (even wider! less distortion) :)

Okay, so the title is a bit misleading, as the tones here are a tad darker than in reality.

Huangpu river is a muddy, yellowish-brown color - many commercial images (especially around here, in China) like to show it blue, which is a blatant lie.

The color is from sediment carried by the river however and not a sign of pollution. That is not to say that Huangpu isn´t polluted - just that the color isn´t indicative of its pollution :)
