Doina passed away on the last Monday of February this year. We were lucky to have known her (a bit) and enjoyed her warmth, happiness, unfailing good spirits (a lot). She was as dynamic as she was optimistic, no-nonsense, caring, always with a nice word to make you smile, laugh (a lot), and cringe (a bit), sometimes all at the same time. She would put you at ease, make you feel like you really mattered to her - and you did.

I feel like Skippy now, not knowing where she is, what happened, will she come back? But oh so glad to have met her, and to have shared a bit of our lives.

Doina, tu nous manques; nous ne t'oublierons pas.
